Shyaire

Shyaire Ganglani

Shyaire, aptly named for ‘poetry’, is a slam poet and comedian with a knack for spinning her generational trauma into comedy gold. Growing up South Asian in so many countries, she’s got more passport stamps than jokes! With her ‘international’ accent that screams ‘firang’ (foreigner), she’s living proof that laughter needs no translation, serving up her culturally spiced humour with a side of well-travelled giggles. Shyaire is also the founder and host of ‘Funny For Comedy’, a diverse, monthly comedy room in Melbourne.
daizy

Daizy Maan

Daizy Maan’s TikTok videos have garnered more than 25 millions views for being hilarious and calling out sexism in Punjabi music and, well… Punjabi men. Outside of her secret Tik Tok channel, Daizy once had a real day job running startup programs aka helping clever kids build startups, get rich and go to the moon. As the producer of Brown Women Comedy, she’s passionate about amplifying the voices of South Asian women. And now she’s tired of helping white men get richer so she’s encouraging brown women to be poorer by becoming comedians and joining them on that journey to below minimum wage. Clearly hilarious in Punjabi, Daizy’s giving English a crack this year as she optimistically enters her sabbatical that her parents keep calling unemployment.
Alex-1

Alex Bertulis

Alex Bertulis-Fernandes was a Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year Finalist, Channel 4 Sean Lock Comedy Awards Finalist, and Beat The Frog World Series Finalist. Alex was shortlisted for the BBC New Comedy Awards and co-starred in White Chicks 2 at Soho Theatre. Her jokes have featured in The Guardian.
Kiran-3

Kiran Saggu

Kiran is an American/British comedian based in London who identifies as a savage in a Megan Thee Stallion way, not in a Winston Thee Churchill way. Kiran is one of the creators and co-hosts of London’s buzzing monthly comedy night Slay24.
Shalaka-1

Shalaka Kurup

Shalaka Kurup is an award-winning Indian comedian. Her observational humour has been described as being “deadpan joy” (The Morning Star) and acerbic. She recently opened for Eshaan Akbar and Ria Lina, and has been featured on Channel 4 Digital and BBC One.

“An impressive arsenal of cool, sardonic stand-up” – Chortle
Urooj-1

Urooj Ashfaq

Urooj Ashfaq is a Mumbai-based comedian, writer and actor. She won the Best Newcomer award at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2023.
Vidya-Divakaran

Vidya Divakaran

Vidya Divakaran is a fresh faced stand up/musical comedian/slug-masked-clown, with a style that’s upbeat, personal and zany. Mainly musing on identity, dating as a brown woman, and internet culture, she brings the energy of catching up with your bestfriend. Vidya also cohosts East London alt-night, Soft Play Area.
Zara-2

Zara Janjua

Zara Janjua is a BBC Comedy Writers Room Alumni, Funny Women finalist and David Nobbs finalist. She performed her first ever stand up set on TV and her second was to a room of 1000 – not that she knew that before she agreed. She has hosted the BBC Comedy Underground, and is a BBC Radio presenter and columnist.
